The Royal Flush - Final Results
Great excitement here at the Royal Berkshire today, as our Royal Flush Finalists arrived to shoot off for the right to choose from one of the 5 amazing top prizes:
A day’s grouse shooting at Bransdale, Yorkshire
A day’s driven pheasant at Lyneham, Devon
A Spanish partridge day in Madrid or Mallorca
A driven partridge day at Prescombe, Wiltshire
A a week’s mixed sport at Novar, Invernessshire.
The support that we have received from sponsors - Aon, Boodles, Purdey, Chase Distillery and Sunseeker - has been truly outstanding and we would like to thank them, as without this support this competition would not be possible.
Two hours after they started shooting, we had our winner in Peter Goldsmith, who posted the top score of 87 x 100 ; not enough to win him one of the 5 game shooting experiences, but he did bag a Really Wild Clay Day for himself and 7 friends, a bottle of Chase Distillery Sloe Gin and a Purdey goodie bag - all-in-all a fabulous prize!!
We also saw all of those who had qualified for the individual stand prizes shoot off too. Though he was actually shooting off on all five stands, and posted the highest scores today on three of them, Chris Childerhouse was, according to the rules, only able to win one of the £1000.00 prizes, so this was deemed to be the Chase Distillery Partridge, as it was the only one on which he shot a straight 20, with honours going to the next highest scores on the other two stands:
