Our Roving Syndicate visits some of the finest shoots and destinations in our portfolio and gives individual Guns and small groups the opportunity to join with likeminded people in the field. We offer single days, short trips and longer adventures both here in the U.K. and further afield…

Featured Estate: Lyneham Estate, South Devon

Situated just outside the village of Yealmpton, Lyneham Estate in North Devon stands out as a shoot of exceptional quality on all basis. Covering several thousand acres, the shoot is blessed with varied topography, all of which lends itself to presenting challenging shooting. Pheasants make up the majority of the bag with some partridges spread throughout the estate, every drive takes place in a picturesque setting and an effort is made by the team to ensure plentiful, testing shooting over every peg. Drives vary from pheasants driven from woodland coverts on top of high banks, to birds driven over deep, steep sided gullies and ravines. The estate gives way to the Yealm estuary where the topography grows even more undulating and some of the most challenging birds can be found.
The impressive Lyneham House, a Grade 1 listed building built by Sir Courtenay Croker in the late 1600’s, acts as the meeting point where Guns will board a purpose built Gun Bus to be transported around the estate in comfort.
Owner Damon Harvey, Lyneham born and raised, and a passionate country man ensures every element of the day runs smoothly and is a convivial host. A large, feasting style lunch is taken at a scenic lunch cabin on the edge of the estuary with views out over the River Yealm towards Newton Ferrers.

We have Friday 6th January available at Lyneham for a 300 bird-day.
