An Afternoon Shoot

Our afternoon shooting package is one of our most popular and perfect for guests travelling from that little bit further afield, or who want to host a meeting in the morning . 

2024 prices start at £150.00 + VAT per person for groups of 25 or more guests and £160.00 + VAT per person for smaller groups of 4–24 guests.

The Itinerary

1.00pm

Guests arrive for a buffet lunch, served with non alcoholic refreshments. Registration will take place whereby guests will be asked whether they are novice, intermediate or advanced level.

1.45pm

Guests will be introduced to their instructors. Shooting will commence in groups with no more than 5 guests to an instructor. The emphasis at this stage of the day is upon getting novice shots to understand safety and etiquette and achieving success in hitting their first clays. The intermediate and expert shots will be encouraged to improve their technique and marksmanship.

3.15pm

Guests return to the lodge for refreshments. During this time instructors will put together teams from each of the categories of experience prior to a fun competition.

3.30pm

Competition commences over a selection of stands from over 150 traps located throughout the Royal Berkshire valley. Shooting will conclude with each team shooting a ‘Really Wild’ flush with 50 clays coming over each team in a 3 – 4 minute duration.

5.00pm

All guests return to the lodge for drinks and results of the competition.

5.30pm
