Roving Gun

Roving Gun

October is here and with it comes the start of the pheasant season, the changing of the seasons, the clocks going back and for many of us, the first day in the field.

So what of the season so far? It has been, all things considered, a very good one… the Shooting School is very busy with clients booking lessons, the Really Wild Clay Company have been out and about holding a record number of roving days whilst the Gun Room and Country Store held a hugely successful Summer Sale. Not to forget the Sporting Agency team who have, already, driven many miles hosting days as far apart as the Wiltshire Downs to the Moors of Scotland.

So what of the season ahead? Well, we remain confident that the shooting world, as it has done throughout this Covid-19 era, will continue to adapt and implement any changes required of it. Having been on a number of days with the Sporting Agency, I have been so pleased to see how estates and teams of guns have, quietly and efficiently, worked to enable days to carry on. Long may this continue. All I ask of anybody going shooting is to follow any rules that we are asked to abide by.

Elsewhere please do keep an eye out for our Turkey Shoots which we will be holding in the run up to Christmas and keep an eye on our Instagram page and website to learn of our series of offers and small events we will be holding in the months of November and December… It just remains for me to wish you happy and safe shooting, whenever and wherever you are next out.

Regards

Jonathan
