Go Really Wild at Highclere this Christmas – A Royal Berkshire First

Join us for a first in the history of the Royal Berkshire… our very first Christmas Really Wild Days, to be held at the Highclere Estate on Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th and Thursday 10th December 2020.

Priced at £250.00 + vat per person, these special days will be hosted like any other Really Wild Day, but with a festive twist.

Home of the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon and location for Downton Abbey, Highclere has an international reputation as an outstanding shoot.  “Drives” use the steep wooded valleys and we even show some Hampshire “Grouse”.  Breakfast and a festive themed lunch are taken at the award winning Jack Russell Inn, an idyllic country  pub, located just outside of the estate.

 Please note that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are having to tweak the way in which we run our days slightly;

•    Importantly, to ensure we comply with the 1m social distancing guidelines, we can only allow experienced shots, who can bring their own guns, on the day. Therefore regrettably novices are unable to attend.
•    During the drives you will be required to load for yourselves – unless your fellow gun is part of your family group.
•    Christmas elevenses will be served in the field with each guest enjoying their own mini hamper rather than our usual buffet style service.
•    As per usual, you are welcome to purchase cartridges on the day or to bring along your own, but they must be fibre wad.

These days are restricted to 18 guns with bookings accepted on a first come first served basis. As this special day will be in high demand, regrettably we can only take bookings for a maximum of four people in any one booking.
