Combining education with fun, in a safe and interesting environment, our Purdey Young Shots sessions are always well received.
Children aged 8 - 16 are tutored in the safety and etiquette of clay pigeon shooting along with other activities, which may include air rifle tuition, an interactive demonstration of how to prepare game for the table, a cookery demonstration, gun cleaning tuition, an off-site visit to a local game dealer or a visit from the local fire brigade.
The fee of £100 per child for the full day on Tuesday 16th July includes all safety wear, gun hire, cartridges and clays, as well as soft drinks throughout the day and a game-themed lunch. All participants will receive a Purdey gift to take home, a certificate of attendance and an invitation to our Young Shots competition in August.
In August, we run a half day session each Tuesday afternoon from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, concentrating on clay pigeon shooting. This costs £50 per child, which includes all safety wear, gun hire, cartridges and clays, as well as soft drinks throughout the afternoon. Participants will again receive a Purdey gift to take home, a certificate of attendance and an invitation to our Young Shots competition in August.
