Delivery & Returns

The UK exited the European Union on 1st January 2021. Whilst we manage the transition period, there will be some temporary changes to some dispatch and delivery processes for our EU customers.

VAT and duties

From 1st January 2021, UK VAT has been removed from all EU orders. Once you enter your shipping country in the checkout, VAT will be deducted from the order total. You will be liable for local VAT and fees in your country which will be collected by the courier before delivery takes place.

We aim to dispatch all shipments within one working day of receiving your order. We ship all orders with either DHL or UPS using a fully tracked service. Please note that couriers are not asking for signatures on delivery due to COVID-19.

UK: 3-5 working days

EU 7-10 working days

USA: 5-7 working days

ROW: 5-7 working days

Please note that choosing a personalisation option, such as embossing or engraving, may delay the order dispatch by up to 5 working days.

We currently deliver to the countries listed below. A shipping cost estimate will be displayed in the shopping basket overview and during the checkout process.

Please note that you may be required to pay import duties depending on the delivery destination of your order, payment of which is required to release your order from customs. Where applicable, UK VAT is removed during the checkout process.

Please note that we are unable to deliver to Post Office boxes. We do not deliver to forwarding addresses, which includes Aramex addresses.

A Purdey e-Gift Card is easy to send. Simply select the value that you would like to give, add in your contact details, recipient details and a personal message. Gift cards are sent to the recipient via email and are currently only redeemable via

A gift card is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. If the whole card is not used in one transaction, the balance will remain and can be checked in the Checkout.

If you don’t want the recipient to receive the Gift Card at the point of purchase, we suggest adding your own email address into the Recipient Details and passing on the information on the correct day.

Please note that the minimum value is £50 and the maximum is £2000.

Purdey offers free UK and international shipping for all orders over £250. This will automatically be applied during checkout.

If you are not happy with your order for any reason then you can return it for a refund within 28 days of delivery. Please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

We will send you an email with a free return shipping label and details on how to return the shipment to Purdey.

Refunds can only be credited to the original transaction card or PayPal account and will be processed within 14 days.

You must return any goods to us in their original packaging in a “new and unused state,” with all original labelling attached and a copy of the invoice.

Personalised items (embossed, engraved or embroidered) cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty.

Goods can also be returned in person at our Audley House store for refund or exchange. Proof of purchase is required in the form of the original dispatch note. Photographic identification may also be required. In-store refunds can only be processed using the original transaction method via our website and may take up to 7 working days to process.
