London Craft Week: The History of Trunks and Luggage

The industrial revolution saw a new class of businessmen travelling via train and motor car to country estates, sparking the need for fine travel goods. Tim Bent of Bentleys of Sloane Street, Neil MacGregor and Valerie Michael discuss the evolution of luggage, showing how trunks started off as the main choice of baggage before becoming vintage collection pieces.
