Our Herdwick tweed is entirely produced in Britain and is distinctive for its mixed shades of yarn – all entirely natural and undyed. Herdwick sheep are born pure black and steadily grow paler as they get older, some even becoming pure white. By shearing at different ages, the yarns can be spun to create different shades and patterns.
Ideal for milder days spent in the field, our Herdwick Tweed Vest is warm, hypo-allergenic and breathable. Design features include a storm collar, Alcantara patches, a half-belt with adjustable tab fastening to ensure a perfect fit, and large bellow pockets to hold cartridges.
Our shooting vests contain a hidden D3O® absorption pad in the shoulder to reduce recoil when in the field. By using advanced polymer chemistry, D3O® absorbs the energy created by each shot, in turn reducing the amount of force transmitted to your body, while remaining soft and flexible as to not compromise on comfort. The pad is designed to be interchangeable between the left and right shoulder depending on your preferred shooting stance.
